Multiple vehicles were involved in a Louisiana crash that happened on July 16. The Bossier City car accident happened at about 4 p.m., briefly closing the road. According to police, three vehicles were involved. One person was said to be injured. The injured person was reportedly driving a vehicle that ended up rolling onto its top as a result of the impact.
Both lanes of traffic were closed by authorities as they cleared and investigated the crash. According to police, the people in the other vehicles were not seriously injured in the car accident. The injured driver of the vehicle that overturned was airlifted to Willis Knighton Hospital in Bossier with what were initially characterized as non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the accident has not been released. Investigators were reviewing the accident scene to determine what happened with the three vehicles involved in the crash. Both lanes of traffic were opened by later that afternoon. The police have not announced their investigation results and there is no indication that any citations were issued to any of the three drivers in this incident.
In the immediate aftermath of a serious car accident in Louisiana, it is often difficult to figure out who did what and in what order. As authorities work to piece together exactly what occurred, the parties will likely be interested in the results of the police investigation. Each may want to assess their rights and responsibilities under state law. It remains to be seen if any serious injuries sustained were caused by the negligence of another party.
