Police are investigating the death of two men who died recently in an accident. Two vehicles were traveling in opposite directions on a Louisiana road recently. The preliminary investigation into the deadly car accident reveals that one of the vehicles drifted into the oncoming lane of traffic and collided with the vehicle occupied by the two men.

One of the men suffered fatal injuries during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency personnel found the other man alive and were able to get him to an area hospital alive. Unfortunately, the efforts of medical personnel at the hospital were in vain. The second man succumbed to his injuries and died. It is uncertain whether the driver of the other vehicle sustained any injuries and what those injuries were.

Louisiana State Police troopers believe the driver of the vehicle that crossed the center line may have been impaired at the time of the crash. No charges have been filed as of yet. However, troopers indicate that charges are forthcoming.

Another disturbing fact about this deadly car accident is that the two men that died were brothers. This family has not only lost one of its members, but two. There will never be away to fill the void their loss have left. Even filing wrongful death claims to receive monetary compensation may not provide much more than a chance at some peace and closure. However, it is the family’s right to file such claims in order to recover any costs and damages they have incurred as a result of the two brothers’ deaths.
