NOPD officer killed in car accident in Louisiana

A New Orleans Police officer was run down as he was directing traffic after having been involved in a traffic accident. The officer was going home after his shift when he hit a stalled vehicle on a Louisiana road. Reports indicate that he had gotten out of his vehicle to make sure that the occupants of that vehicle were uninjured and to direct traffic away from the car accident when he himself was struck.

Louisiana man survives 1 car accident, then is killed

A Louisiana man survived a single car accident only to be run over as he was trying to cross the interstate. According to reports, the man was hit by no fewer than five vehicles. His death and the initial single car accident are still under investigation.

Fatal accident on Louisiana Highway 594 in Monroe

The Louisiana State Police continue to investigate a crash that occurred on Louisiana Highway 594 in Monroe. So far, the only citation issued in the fatal accident has been for passing illegally. It is not known whether additional charges will be filed once the investigation is complete.

Driver in fatal Louisiana car accident expresses regret

The driver that hit a pedestrian on La. 43 has expressed regret regarding what happened. The pedestrian vs. car accident claimed the life of a 21-year-old man. The driver that hit him, who turned out to be the president of the Livingston Parish School Board, failed to stop at after hitting the young man.
